Karklin 14th in URC Season Opener

Port Royal, PA (April 9th, 2022) Jake Karklin made his first debut of the 2022 racing season at Port Royal Speedway running with the United Racing Club at the 75th season opener.

The 75th Season opener was a success with a full field of cars. Karklin had a great early start to the night timing 8th in hot laps.

After all drivers completed hot laps Jake was set and ready to go as he was in the first heat of the night. Karklin would be staring inside the fourth row placing him seventh along side of competitor Derek Locke. Jake was able to work his way up to sixth. Placing him into the last transfer spot locking him into the final event of the night.

However, due to an issue Jake would have to run the B-Main starting him forth outside the second row. Karklin ended up finishing second which would then start him twentieth in the A-Main event.

Jake was able to progress his way through all 25 laps of the A-Main event, finishing fourteenth overall. Advancing six spots and adding a top fifteen in the books.
